You are not seeing things, my studio is so full of stuff l have to step over things to get in the door and l tried sorting it out but there was just so much , so have been DRASTIC and taken £100 of some of my paintings. The paintings in the clearance sale are from £12.00 to buy. This is the time to buy as if you put them away you will reap the benefit later.

All the big gallery's are saying 2010 is the year art will start go up sky high and l believe them as they have always been right in the past. Another reason to buy art as an investment,s the prime minster and others are telling us to save for later as there's not going to be much in pensions later on and as interest is very bad to give you extra cash its better to collect art now for your pensions and your life when you are older. So many big collectors are doing this right now. They know its the right thing to do, art is going to be your savings that will give you a better life now and later.So buy and collect and next year you will see the start of the increase but if you hang onto them for another year or two you will be laughing all the way to the bank.

These are my new paintings from June 09, the blue one l used a painting knife for most of it and its very textured to feel. The other one went through a lot of painted layers, it also has silver leaf worked into it.

My new website is open plus a 'NEW SHOP' with lots of bargains in designer fabric, pieces you never see, there is only a few in large size's but lots of smaller sizes for making toys, bags, cushions for all the art quilters or patchworker's these pieces of fabric will fit the bill. 'NEW' Fabric Shop

In a few days time there will be a New Fabric Shop opening on my website www.jillsmithart.com, there are some good bargains and fabric you won't have seen before. It is being sold at below half the price. I used fabric to make art quilts till last year and for health reasons had to give it up so was left with hundreds of yards and need the room. I will let you know the day its opened, should have been now but l got in a mess with it so got proper website people to help me out. Keep looking.

LOOK GOOD NEWS

This is the first piece of news, With the world being as it is l have decided to do prints of my paintings in the sizes and including 20 x 16 ins. There will be different bases and different prices so keep a look out for the announcement. For anyone that likes my art this will be a very inexpensive way of buying it. The second piece of news is that l will be having a store on my website, l will be selling lots of US designer fabric in smaller pieces and collections of it at very inexpensive prices. I used to make art quilts and wall hangings and fabric collage but a year ago had to give it up because of health problems. I had lots of orders placed for fabric so was having deliveries up to this year so have some fantastic designs and so different from the fabric we get here in the UK. There will also be different art things as well. I will put it on my blog when l have it all ready and if you want me to personally let you know let me know your email address and l will write to you. If you have friends that make toys and other fabric related items , let them know as the prices are going to be very LOW Charity's as well and Xmas fairs so let them know now.
